Several major European airlines suspended their flights to Tehran until the end of October

Following the flight restrictions caused by the security situation in the region, several international airlines have announced the extension of the suspension of their flights to Tehran.

According to the latest official announcements:

Lufthansa has suspended its flights to Tehran until October 24, 2026. Austrian Airlines has also stopped flights to Tehran until October 24, 2026. SWISS International Air Lines has canceled its flights to Tehran until October 24, 2026. Brussels Airlines also announced that Tehran flights will not be operated until October 24, 2026.

These four companies are members of the Lufthansa Group, and the suspension of flights is part of the group's joint decision to reduce the risk of flights in the Middle East. Also, SalamAir Oman has officially announced that it has stopped its flights to and from Iran until August 31, 2026.
