On Friday, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan announced the signing of the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement"; An agreement based on which any armed attack on one of the three countries will be considered an attack on all three countries.

This agreement was signed in the meeting of the heads of the three countries in Mecca and in the presence of Mohammad bin Salman, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Shahbaz Sharif. According to the joint statement, the purpose of this agreement is to strengthen collective deterrence, develop military and security cooperation and maintain regional stability.

The three countries also emphasized the expansion of defense, security cooperation and strategic coordination against common threats.
