Shahrazad Zamiri's release with a heavy bail of 50 billion tomans after months of arrest

Shahrazad Zamiri, colonel and former deputy of the Faraja security police, who was arrested during the nationwide protests in January 1404 and then fired from the police force, was released from Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad on Saturday, August 17, after posting a heavy bail of 50 billion tomans.

During the protests, Zamiri was arrested by IRGC intelligence officers and kept in solitary confinement for 43 days. After the end of this period, he was transferred to the comfort ward of Vakil Abad prison.

According to Harana's report, the last interrogation session of this former Faraja official was held on August 12 at the Mashhad military court. Five accusations have been raised in his case, including "disclosure of state secrets" and "operational action".

Before his arrest, Shahrazad Zamiri was the deputy of the Faraja security police with the rank of colonel and was also active in the technology and computer field of this institution. After his arrest, Faraja fired him from his position.

Zamiri's judicial case is still open despite his temporary release on bail.
