The death sentence of Rasul Rezaei, one of the detainees of the 1404 protests, was confirmed in the Supreme Court

According to Harana, the Supreme Court has approved the death sentence of Rasul Rezaei, a 28-year-old citizen from Freeman and one of the detainees of the 1404 protests.

Rasool Rezaei, who is imprisoned in Vakil Abad prison of Mashhad, was previously sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad on the charge of "Moharebeh". So far, no specific details have been published about the accusation that was the basis for issuing the death sentence.

Marzieh Mohebi, a lawyer familiar with this case, said that Rasool Rezaei was arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic in Freeman on January 19, 1404, and since his arrest, he has been denied access to a chosen lawyer, phone calls, and family visits.

Rasool Rezaei is 28 years old, the father of two children aged two and five, and before his arrest, he was making a living by hawking.

The approval of this sentence has been done while the uncertainty about the basis of the accusation of "Moharebeh" and her denial of access to a chosen lawyer has increased concerns about the trial process and the risk of executing the death sentence.
