On Saturday, August 24, Al-Ansari wrote on X channel that the claims made about the arrest of Iranian pilots are "definitely" false and expressed surprise at the publication of these statements, especially in the context of diplomatic efforts to reduce tension in the region.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar said that after the mentioned pilots entered Qatar's airspace, they were contacted and the targeting route was checked and confirmed. He added that after observing the rules of engagement and making contact with the pilots without receiving a response, Qatar took the necessary measures to defend its territory in accordance with the requirements of international law.

Al-Ansari also said that the search and rescue teams of Qatar have completely carried out the operation to find the bodies of the pilots. According to him, after the body of one of the pilots was found, the Qatari government contacted the Iranian side to coordinate its delivery in accordance with international humanitarian law.

He added that Qatar invited a team in April to visit and receive information about the details of the search and rescue operation, but the Iranian side has not yet responded to this invitation.

Earlier, the Commander of the Search Committee for the Missing Persons of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran claimed that three army pilots whose Sukhoi-24 fighter jets crashed during the attacks in March have been captured by Qatari forces.

Rejecting this claim, the Qatari authorities have presented a different story about the fate of the pilots and the search and rescue operations after the downing of the fighters.
