US President Donald Trump welcomed the signing of the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, and considered it a sign of regional countries moving towards cooperation and joint defense. Reports have also confirmed Trump's support for this agreement.

Trump said: "I am very pleased to see that Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan have finally signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement."

He described the agreement as "a big, bold and important first step" and congratulated the leaders of all three countries.

This agreement, which was signed in Mecca on August 7, is based on the principle of mutual defense and considers an armed attack on one of the three countries as an attack on all three.
