Axios: Trump's "Economic Day"; The sword of sanctions over the supporters of the Islamic Republic

Axios reported that the new American campaign against the Islamic Republic, contrary to the expectation of a sudden blow, will be implemented in the form of a wide and gradual set of sanctions, the aim of which is to cut off the access of Tehran's economic partners to the American financial system.

This operation was started under the title of "economic isolation" and Scott Bessant, the US Treasury Secretary, has sanctioned more than 60 individuals and institutions related to the Islamic Republic in the first stage.

Besnet announced that a specific deadline has been set for each country that cooperates with economic networks of the Islamic Republic to stop these activities.

Axios wrote that the main test of this campaign is China, which buys about 90% of the Islamic Republic's oil exports and is considered one of the most important economic arteries of the government.

However, the planned visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the White House on September 24 may affect the intensity of Washington's dealings with Beijing.

According to Axios, the US had previously imposed extensive secondary sanctions against the Islamic Republic. PulseIran24.com
